Max 'Lou Dawg' Haddock

It is an honor to be chosen as spotlight athlete for January. I have been doing Crossfit for almost 2 years and it has become an integral part of life. The coaching and community of athletes at Crossfit Loop in particular has made me a better person all around. I struggled for 15 years with addiction which almost had become something too powerful for me to beat. In 2008 I fully immersed myself into the sport of whitewater kayaking and for the first time in a long time saw some substantial athletic success. Anne and Korby finally talked me into trying Crossfit a couple a years ago and even though I got my butt handed to me every day I really enjoyed it for some reason:)
Now, Crossfit Loop has become my focus and it is where I can keep myself physically and spiritually sound. I am 43 years old and by far the fittest I have been in my life. I would like to thank Korby, Lee and all the Loop athletes and coaches as you are the best in the business! As a side note, it's a great place to get a wife too!
